Ex-Singer,
Songwriter, Salesman and Gentlemen’s Hairdresser, Steve is one
of London’s favourite Jewish Comedians.
He has performed at The Purcell Room on London’s South Bank, The
Hackney Empire, The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, and is a regular on London’s
Comedy Scene.
Steve has also performed at most of the major out of town venues, and
toured South Africa, Holland, and recently Croatia.
Resident compere at the Hampstead Comedy Club from 1994 to 1998, he
also ran the long established Meccano Club in Islington, North London.
In
recent years Steve has performed as character comic 'Sol Bernstein',
including two solo Edinburgh Festival shows.

Steve’s alter ego “Sol Bernstein” continues to defy both age and belief. His Rock’n’ Sol act can be witnessed, amongst other places, at the Banana Cabaret in Balham, Grinning Idiot in Newcastle, Slaughter House in Liverpool, Lamp Room Theatre in Barnsley, Lescar and Memorial Hall in Sheffield, Rawhide Comedy in Liverpool, Hampstead Comedy Club, Baby Blue in Liverpool, Radlett Arts Centre, Whichwood Festival, Ealing Festival, Beautiful Day Festival, Laugh Inn in Chester, XS Malarkey in Manchester, Civic Hall in Nantwich and some poor boy’s Bar mitzvah.
