Tom
cut his teeth in comedy at the Comedy Café in London and on the
BBC Radio Comedy Network. His first television appearances were in 'Knowing
Me Knowing Yule with Alan Partridge', 'Friday Night Armistice' and 'Fist
of Fun'.
In 1999 the readers of Melody Maker voted 'Tom Binns Breakfast' on London's
XFM as one of their Top Ten Radio shows of the year.
One of the sketches Tom wrote for 'Trigger Happy TV' made it into both
the BBC and Channel 4 polls for best comedy moment and TV moment of
2001.
In 2002 while Tom was presenting 'Ri:se' the live breakfast show on
Channel 4, readers of More magazine voted him the 25th sexiest man in
the world, leaving George Clooney trailing behind at number 33.
Joan Rivers recently worked with Tom when he hosted a very expensive
pilot episode of 'Celebrity Squares' for So TV and Five.
Tom is writing a sitcom pilot for BBC Radio 2 and developing a sitcom script for television. He is also appearing all over the country as “Ivan Brackenbury”.

Returning from a complete sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Tom takes “Ivan Brackenbury” to the Isle of Man, St Georges Hall in Blackburn, La Tasca in Didsbury and The Blue Cat in Heaton Moor. Ivan can be seen performing his sell out Edinburgh show at both the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield, on Friday 12th September and The Lowry in Salford Quays on Saturday 13th September. He will then spend sometime in Glasgow and in Channel 4’s “The I.T. Crowd” not being Ivan.
