2004 City Life North West Comedian of The Year, John Warburton is already making a name for himself after just two years on the circuit.

Touched by fame from an early age, as a baby John was baptised by the father of celebrity idiot Timmy Mallett. Years later he would be taught biology by Fred Talbot - the weatherman from This Morning.

A trained journalist, John writes his own column for the Sunday Sport, with a readership of over a million every week.

John is a regular act and compere at comedy clubs across the country including Manchester's Frog and Bucket, The Hi-Fi, Leeds and Rawhide, Liverpool. He is a regular member of the Comedy Store's 'MEN At Work' topical comedy team.

Writing
John has worked for all the daily national newspapers as well as magazines such as Loaded and FHM. In 1999 John went on tour with the Happy Mondays at the behest of his friend Shaun Ryder, to write the hilarious and acclaimed rock biog 'Hallelujah' ("A rollicking, relentless read" - Daily Mirror).

John also writes comedy for the BBC (Radio 1, Radio 4 and GMR), and has a column in a lad's mag.
